How to create a test online in four steps
To create an exam or test online in QuizAcademy, you set up your quiz questions as an exam. All participants answer the same questions, and afterwards there is a result for each person.
- 1. Create questions: Write quiz questions in the CMS, the browser interface for teachers, generate them with AI from your files or import them.
- 2. Set up the exam: Add the questions to an exam and invite participants by email, link, QR code or PIN. With “Restrict access”, you decide who may take part.
- 3. Take the exam: Participants take the exam on their own device, using a username.
- 4. Evaluate: You see the results per person and export them as an Excel or PDF file.
Without access restriction, participants can take part with any username. With the restriction, only the usernames you have added can take part, entered manually, imported from a spreadsheet or generated.

In the exam, you download the certificate for each person as a PDF. You pass it on by hand for now, there is no automatic sending.

What happens if the power or the browser fails during the exam?

Exam logs record progress and the answers given, so you can follow the course of the exam and document it in case of disputes. The accuracy of the questions remains your responsibility.
Can AI mark free-text answers?
In QuizAcademy, AI can pre-mark free-text answers in the exam. You add a model answer as a guide. The AI does not make the final decision: you check every answer afterwards and decide on the points yourself, and partial points in steps of 0.5 are possible.
Are the exams GDPR compliant, and what do they cost?
Yes. QuizAcademy is a GDPR-compliant platform from Germany and runs in the AWS Frankfurt region; a data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is included. You start for free with five exams of up to 10 participants each. For the full scope, the Standard licence costs €14.99 per month, billed annually (€179.99 per year), excl. VAT.
